This will be your opportunity for eligible athletes to order 12/13 product (see eligibility rules at bottom of flyer). And/or we have a few race skis from previous seasons available to all racers at additional savings. You do not want to miss it!
If you cannot make it to the store on Oct 7, Sturtevant’s will continue to offer racers the opportunity to order race products on discount through Sunday Oct 14th, 2012 – However the 7th is the only day the reps are here, and thus that is the only day most of the Sample products are available for try on purposes.

We would like to take this opportunity to re-iterate that the focus at fit day should be selecting the right product for the racers, so we can place the orders with the manufacturers. We honor the published racer sales prices from each of our vendors – on race specific products - plus the appropriate shipping charges. After the 14th of October Sturtevant’s will not place “Race Orders” at the published race day prices. (Items ordered after Oct. 14th will be subject to as much as an additional 10% cost and additional shipping and handling fees.) Product availability is also extremely limited by the manufacturers later in the month, so orders need to be placed early.

Skis
FIS athletes should meet the USSA/FIS minimums IF you are unsure see coaches for individual input.
Bindings
We have had several situations at fit day when clients have bought skis/bindings and boots that are not compatible. Almost all boots size 22.0 and under are Jr boot soles. All boots over 24 are adult soles. The 21 – 23.5 are the unpredictable ones. Please make sure you verify with staff or Reps that you have an appropriate binding if your boots fall into this range (21-23.5)
Boots
Many kids at fit day buy boots too big because they feel good on their flip-flop summer foot. Make sure the rep/staff is shell sizing your athlete and that there is no more than ¾ inch between the heel and the back of the shell when the toes are touching the front (1/2” for J2 and older). Do not buy boots that your kid is going to “grow into”, that does not work. We can make boots bigger, but can not make them smaller effectively. You have a lot invested in this sport, and boots are absolutely critical to the athlete’s success. This is not the place to cut corners.
TUNING
Marc Morrison is the lead tuner and technician at Sturtevant’s and is able to provide great tuning options for both new and used race skis. On race day ask about our special – buy 2 tunes get a 3rd free.
Custom Footbeds and boot fitting
We have an outstanding boot fitting staff. Once your new boots arrive, please schedule an appointment with our fit center to get custom footbeds and your boots final fitted. (425)454-6465

Eligibility -
- Junior Racers – Must be a registered USSA member and belong to a local race team.
- Masters must have proof of participation in an organized Race club for ’12-’13. (This can be a letter from the club s’ Head coach or President or USSA card for this year).
- College Racers will be held to Junior USSA requirements to qualify
- Mitey Mites – Must be registered with a local race team for the 2012-13 season.
*** If a qualified athlete chooses to purchase twin tip or all-mountain skis from Sturtevant’s on race day we will offer a 10% discount off of our everyday sale price. This option will only be offered thru Oct. 14th. And again this discount is for the racer only, not parents or siblings.

OTHER INFORMATION AND SERVICES
Sturtevant’s also now has stores in Alderwood and Tacoma – Although these two stores stock a lot of current year products, they do not typically have very much “Race Product”, so we do not offer our Race Day pricing at these stores. However, if you would like us to send your race products to either of these stores for pick up, we would be more than happy to send it to any of our stores for your pick up – just ask at the time of placing your order. – Otherwise all products will be picked up at the Bellevue store.
TUNE SPECIALS – RACE DAY ONLY, prepay for any 2 tunes and get a third tune for FREE. This is a great deal, as all racers have their skis tuned multiple times during the season. Pre-Pay and save on Oct. 7th.
WAX and Tuning Supplies – remember on race day you can also purchase wax and tuning supplies at 30% off, or more. This is a great time to stock up on the supplies you know you will need.
ORDERS – IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD FROM STURTEVANT’S BY NOVEMBER 1ST PLEASE CONTACT YOUR CLUB REPRESENTATIVE AND THEY WILLL WORK WITH STURTEVANT’S TO TRACK DOWN YOUR PRODUCT(S). Orders typically take 3 – 4 weeks to arrive, sometimes longer. Almost all manufacturers ship from the east coast so it takes 7 – 10 days just for shipping. Sturtevant’s will notify you as your products arrive (yes, if you order more than one item we will call you each time something new arrives). We realize this may seem redundant, but it is the best way for us to make sure you know exactly what has or has not arrived. So, PLEASE REMEMBER, when we call this does not mean that ALL of your orders have arrived.
